e-Vermont Community: Cambridge
e-Vermont initiatives in Cambridge were spearheaded by a diverse cross-section of the community’s artists and businesses – Cambridge Artists and Entrepreneurs (CAE) – as well as representatives from the school, library and local government. In one short year, this team succeeded in bringing the following accomplishments to Cambridge:
- Financial support to build the CAE Cambridge Vermont Community Portal website;
- 52 netbook packages to ensure that every Cambridge Elementary School student in grade 5 receives a 21st century education;
- A Free Front Porch Forum community e-newletter that 845 subscribers used more than 2677 times to buy and trade household goods, promote local events, recommend local businesses and much more;
- Many other accomplishments – read more about Cambridge specifically in the Cambridge Re-Cap (pdf) or about e-Vermont partners' work across all communities in e-Vermont Services.
